The Ness at Shaldon opposite Teignmouth Back Beach is a lovely summer spot for sea swimming, boating, fishing and sunshine. You can watch the boats and see the spectacular sight of huge cargo ships turning the river bend. You may even see the Mackerel shoals or a seal sleeping on the Back Beach.
